Grandview

The City of Grandview is ideally located in the southern part of Jackson County Missouri, abutting the cities of Kansas City to the north, Lee’s Summit on the east, and Raymore and Belton to the south. It is divided by US Hwy 71 which provides easy access to downtown Kansas City, the Plaza Shopping district, and KCI Airport. Longview Lake is located on the eastern border of the city while Stateline Rd, the border of Kansas and Missouri, is a ten minute drive west.

Grandview has an area of 16 square miles with a population of 24,500. There are 200 acres of park land in Grandview, including 13 parks, The View community Center, an outdoor aquatics pool, a skate park, softball/baseball fields, and hiking/biking trails that connect to Longview Lake.

Longview Lake, a five minute drive from downtown Grandview, is a 950 acre lake that provides fishing, boat rental, water skiing, swimming, golfing plus biking and hiking trails.

There are two is one 18-hole golf courses, public and one semi-public, within the city limits and one at Longview Lake.

School Information

The Grandview Consolidated School District #4 serves 3800 students in Grandview, as well as southwest communities in Kansas City and a small portion of Lee’s Summit. The school district has 1 high school, 2 middle schools, 5 elementary schools, an early childhood center and a program for alternative instruction.
